Rain Nutrition is a new MLM beverage company that launched in 2009. Ok, this is where Rain Nutrition slides into a scenario where people start having difficulties. First of all Rain Nutrition preaches duplication. How can someone who knows a total of 50 people duplicate a person who has over 1,000 business and sales contacts? Obviously the person with 1,000 quality contacts has an advantage over the one with few contacts. Duplication does not exist when it comes to people because everyone is different and everyone knows different kinds of peopl
#4 Expand Your Warm Market
This is where Rain tells you to contact everyone you have ever made contact with. They recommend your church, your community, facebook and other social networks. I can tell you that I get emails everyday from people on facebook telling me to check out their business and guess what? They are all different businesses and they all claim to be the best. This type of training does nothing but create a bunch of noise in the market and yields few results. Your warm list of people you know is not the best list to contact and going on facebook to blast your opportunity out to people doesn’t work either. However, this is a great way to lose a lot of friends.
Picture this
“Hmmm… Let me see. I think I will call aunt Helen who is 89 years old and talk her into selling my products. Or maybe uncle Fred. He has always liked me and will do it if I ask. I’m sure he won’t get mad if he makes zero dollars and spends a whole months worth of pay on products.”
Am I making sense? The people you should be talking to are people who are self motivated and have a drive to hang in there even when it requires and excruciating amount of work. You might have some firends or family that are perfect for your business but most people only have a few if any.
#5 Invite and Follow Up
This means drag your friends and family to an opportunity meeting where they will get a huge dose of hypnotism and be worked over for a sale. Have you ever experienced one of those timeshare presentations? They lure you in with a free vacation and then try to sell you a $40,000 timeshare. Those guys won’t leave you alone. Would you purposely drag your Grandmother or best friend to one of those? Wrong wrong wrong. That’s the wrong strategy and the wrong people to try to sponsor.
#6 Utilize The Right Tools
Get ready to spend some money! You can buy a company DVD, brochures, flyers, business cards and a replicated website. These are all very ineffective ways to market and the cost is not worth the return. I have never known anyone to make any real money from a replicated website. In fact replicated websites drive more people away than make sales. If you are marketing this online I can promise you people have already seen a website exactly like yours several times. It doesn’t work PERIOD.
#7 Host a Party
Now here’s an idea. Why not host a party? You can buy a bunch of food and set out a bunch of product and invite who? You guessed it! Invite all your friends and family over for a selling party. How many people ever really want to go to these? They know they will feel obligated to buy something. Again this is not an effective way to market and you are taking advantage of your relationships to make a buck.
#8 Attend and Invite
This is where you invite your team and prospects to a large opportunity meeting where guest speakers will teach, train and help you sponsor new reps. These are actually very effective once you have the right people to plug in. The problem is getting the right people there.
The Rain Nutrition marketing system is flawed. They may have great products but as with all MLM and network marking companies they have not developed a system of duplication. A warm list runs out quickly and you are left with no practical way to build you business. What you must understand is this is a “marketing” business. No marketing equals no leads and no leads equals no sales. Without marketing you simply can not build the massive organization you wish to build.

ACN is doing well but I do have an issue with them. With all of the state-of-the-art technology such as the video phone and the other high tech gadgets and service they offer you would think that they would embrace the same kind of technology in their marketing.
First I should state that I am a professional network marketer and I use current marketing practices such as the internet to grow my business. As I mentioned, ACN uses the MLM approach but teaches their distributors old school selling techniques. What many folks fail to understand is the old silly idea of chasing your friends and family and making a warm list is quickly fading away and has already become very ineffective in building a large team of distributors. This is why 97% of the people who join MLM fail to make any real money.
Let me illustrate this for you. Think for a moment about a business. Let’s use a pizza shop for example. If you owned a pizza shop and you told all of your friends and family about it then I’m sure your friends and family would stop by once every few weeks to buy a pizza. That might sound great but what about the days when your friends and family don’t want pizza. On these days they won’t stop in and you won’t make any sales. My point is you need more that just your friends and family to grow a business. In fact you need a steady flow of customers every day to grow any business that relies on retailing products.
This concept also applies to network marketing. ACN teaches you to make a warm list of everyone you know and then invite them to a business meeting where they will be presented with an ACN phone overview and a presentation on the compensation plan. This may work for a short time but what happens when you run out of people to talk to? Your business begins to die due to lack of prospects. When you have marketing in place the leads call you and chase you down. It’s a completely different approach than what is taught in the MLM industry. It’s time for the industry to get caught up with current times.

What is Attraction Marketing?
The first thing you need to know is attraction marketing is not a new concept. It’s a very old concept with a new name. Attraction marketing has been in existence since people started influencing other people. Why is it some people become a famous actor or actress? Why is it some people rise to power and leadership?
The reason is because some people are better at attracting other people. Certain people have developed a leadership skill set or they have mastered the art of connecting with others. Some people are just born with a natural way of connecting and attraction others. Don’t be discouraged, however, because attraction qualities can be learned with practice.
Simply put the attraction marketing definition is the concept of creating a desire or interest in someone by relating to them through written word, through voice and visually.
I like to study T.V. ads and watch how the commercials try to connect with people. Often times a T.V. ad will show a celebrity using their product. They do this because they know a huge part of our population are connected to this celebrity and by associating the celebrity with their product they will cause people to buy their product. This is a perfect example of attraction marketing.
Another example is a T.V. ad showing a couple snuggled up by a warm fire in their cozy little room with snow blowing outside their window. Each of them are holding a warm steaming cup of hot chocolate. Sitting next to them on the end table is a canister of the hot chocolate mix the advertiser is trying to sell. You see what they are doing. They are painting a picture of a happy couple feeling warm and toasty while they drink hot chocolate. This is another form of attraction marketing.
Attraction marketing is connecting with your audience. People who become the most successful in sales or business are great at attraction marketing. One of the things you do in sales is to connect and relate to your prospect before you close the sale. This is an important part of the sales process because you need to build a bridge of connection first to gain the trust of the buyer.
Attraction and connection is vital in society and it plays a gigantic role in business. All successful businesses have used some form of attracting in their marketing. Another way to put it is attracting customers. Instead of beating the street and knocking on doors you are attracting customers to you. In other words they call you and knock on your door.
So what is meant by the term attraction marketing and how can you use it in your business?
Attraction marketing today has been springing up all over the internet. People are re-creating themselves through attraction marketing. Here is one final point. It’s important to be yourself. People are attracted to different people for different reasons. It’s funny how often I am told that I remind people of an uncle or a brother or a friend. People are relating to me on different levels.
A perfect example is the T.V. show American Idol. Isn’t it amazing that someone you think stinks at singing stays on week after week. Now think about the show. What are they doing? Not only do the contestants sing but they conduct interviews, they show video and they tell a story about the person. This is precisely why some contestants stay on even when they can’t sing. There are obviously lots of people out there who think they are great and it’s called attraction marketing.

As with nearly all MLM business models the key element to driving sales is sponsoring new reps and setting them up on an auto-ship program. As a rep you will be required to automatically buy Maakoa products each month to qualify for commissions. Yoli and the Yoli – Blast Cap is soon to emerge. Do we really need another MLM drink company honking their horn and claiming to be the next best super drink?
Hello friend and welcome to yet another network marketing juice drink called Yoli. Have you heard about Yoli and their Blast Cap? When is it all going to end with these drink companies? Can all of these different companies really compete?
Yoli and the Yoli – Blast is the latest and greatest MLM launch in 2009 offering a health drink. Their product is called Yoli and the Yoli Blast Cap which delivers the perfect, most powerful, and freshest preservative free ingredients to be found anywhere. They have a nifty comp plan and a crisp clean look to their web site along with some great leaders in the industry and will certainly capture a large market share. They have done an excellent job of making their company look different and unique.
But here is my beef and I’m not picking on Yoli or their Blast Cap.
It seems every few months a new pre-launch starts with the latest and greatest everyhting. They all claim to have the best product, the best comp plan and the best leadership. More and more companies are emerging and jumping on the MLM bandwagon.
There is a lot of confusion out there.
If you search the web you will find MLM companies selling everything from juice and vitamins to cell phone service and energy for your home. This has created a huge problem in the industry. Everyone is trying to out scream the competition and people are jumping ship every day looking for the next Holy Grail in home business.
In the current network marketing environment retention is horrible. I have watched downlines of hundreds of people disintegrate in under 30 days because a leader decided to switch companies. Incomes that have taken years to build are evaporating overnight.
Yoli as with other start up’s usually see a huge spurt of growth in the beginning until the real test comes along. This real test is Retention Rate. Will people stick around even if a new MLM with a new product starts up next month and entices them to join? Or will they be like others trying to promote 5 or 6 different companies with no success in any of them?
Let’s talk briefly about what happens to the typical MLM prospect. They are often convinced to sit in on an opportunity meeting where a very influential speaker gets up to talk. This is unusually someone who has had a great amount of success. Several testimonies are given and after about an hour or so of brainwashing the prospect is directed back to their sponsor with money signs flashing in their eyes ready to join the opportunity.
After arriving at home that evening the new home business owner suddenly realizes they have no idea how to grow their business. They are taught to contact their family and friends and work through their warm list. They might sign up a few reps or they might not but what they soon discover is that they have run out of people to talk too.
What happens next is very typical.
The rep works really hard for about 30 to 60 days but is getting nowhere. Meanwhile one of his two newly sponsored members quits and cancels their auto-ship. The frustrated rep starts to buy leads but again is disappointed because the expensive leads turn out to be worthless. After about another 30 days the rep throws in the towel and decides it must have been a bad product so he goes in search of the next business opportunity. What a crazy cycle to be on.
You will find a similar story with Yoli and their Blast Cap. There is nothing out of the ordinary about Yoli from other MLM’s. They have repackaged a business plan with yet another great health product. The results with Yoli will be the same as with other home business opportunities you have seen before. This is nothing against Yoli it is just the facts.
There is however a solution to this madness and this solution will make a difference for you in Yoli or whatever network marketing business you decide to build.
It’s ironic that we call this industry Multi-Level “Marketing” or Network “Marketing” when no one actually teaches marketing.
Let me illustrate this a little…
Suppose you owned an ice-cream store and you told all your friends and family about it. Maybe some of them came in and bought your ice-cream cones throughout the week. But imagine if those were your only customers. Imagine you didn’t have a steady flow of customers walking in the door every single day. How long do you think your business would last? Now let’s imagine you have a marketing plan in place. People are seeing information about your business and are drawn to your delicious ice-cream. Everyday you have a steady stream of devoted fans dying to get theirs hands on your ice cream. Now that’s a business.
The key is MARKETING folks. When you put the “Marketing” into network marketing you get results. In fact you will have people calling you and chasing you down eager to join your business when you do it right. And when you talk about retention look out! Once you teach others to duplicate “Marketing” you will keeps lots of happy members in your downline.
For all of the Yoli and other distributors out there you must know that there is an easier and better way. You can blast your business to a new level. There is no cap on what you can do.
